Thanks for that link WANB !
I will be writing my experience growing up as a JW and sending it to them. I would ljke to encourage anyone who grew up a JW to do the same. We owe it to our neighbor and posterity.

@Boogerman
Matthew 2:1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi a from the east came to Jerusalem 2and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
3When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. ...
9After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.
The star took them first to Jerusalem apparently for advertising purposes. Then, the same star led them to the house of Mary and Joseph. Jesus would have been nearly a toddler by this time.
Things happened exactly as God wanted them to.

I agree with iloowy.goowy.
I don't believe that Saturnalia (December 17th) has anything to do with Christmas, and neither did Hippolytus, an early Christian leader from the 2nd century. He named December 25th as the birthday of Jesus. He was a first class historian and Christian. Hippolytus was a disciple of Irenaeus, Irenaeus of Polycarp, and Polycarp of the Apostle John.
His work The Refutation of Heresies cannot be overestimated and in it he details early heresies in chronological order.
The enemies of Christ do not want his birtday (or mission to redeem man) remembered. Nothing has changed in 2000 years.
Where I live in Texas, it is slightly farther north than Jeresalem. Yet, it frequently doesn't freeze here until January, some years not at all. Sheep are busy grazing here on December 25th just as they were when the angels announced the most amazing event in all of history to humble shepherds.
Gotta love God's style. Imagine if the WT was used. They would haved have rented out the Colosseum in Rome, printed chariot loads of papyrus tracts and would have irritated people by the millions while they were sleeping in on Saturday mornings.

Dear sisters and brothers,
We are writing to you today about a sensitive and very urgent matter in which we would like to ask for your help.
In a short-term meeting today, we learned that we have the great privilege of assisting World Headquarters with a very important project.
What is the problem?
Our brothers and sisters in Japan are currently struggling with a serious problem: a new ministry, which has only been in office for about a year, unfortunately assumes that the child-rearing practices of Jehovah's Witnesses are harming the children and even constitute a form of "child abuse." represents. This is of course a worrying development.
How can you help?
We are looking for positive statements from authorities, but also from experts such as school directors, teachers, professors, academics, etc. e.g. B. on the following topics:
On the experience of raising children of parents who are Jehovah's Witnesses general (loving, caring, balanced upbringing, appropriate interest in children)
For material for children and young people on jw.org
About children of Jehovah's Witnesses (e.g. are not conspicuous at school, but are exemplary; do not take drugs, are not criminals; are well integrated, balanced, etc.)
About the positive contributions of our young people to society
We would be pleased if you would comment on these points in your respective role - if possible on an official letterhead that shows your current role. We are of course also very interested in further statements from outsiders. Can you perhaps think of colleagues or other people who could make well-founded statements in this context? If so, please contact these people as quickly as possible and ask them for a written statement (if possible on official letterhead). IMPORTANT: The desired statements, which do not have to be long, should not refer to Japan but rather the wording should be general. It is also best not to address a specific person but rather “to whom it may concern” (“Dear Sir or Madam” or “to the responsible authority”).
When addressing outsiders, you could justify the request by saying that a newly founded ministry in an Asian country that has no experience with Jehovah's Witnesses is prejudiced against Jehovah's Witnesses due to misinformation. our religious minority has. The European perspective would certainly be helpful to them, as they have had experience with Jehovah's Witnesses for decades. We ask you not to mention “Japan”, but to clarify the desired direction and the urgency of the request.
Deadline:
We need the statements within the next week.
We consider it a privilege to partner with you in this important effort to help “defend and legally establish the good news.”—Phil. 1:7. Please make this matter the subject of your personal prayers. We have full confidence that Jehovah will bless our joint efforts to bring glory to his name.—2 Cor. 10:4, 5; Isa. 54:17.
One final request: please treat the information confidentially and do not forward this email without consultation!
Thank you very much in advance for your valuable support and have a nice weekend
Your brothers

What has the Spiritual Paradise of the WTS been over time
by blondie inthe first mention i find in the wts publications is 1958. although the wts says the index goes from 1930 to 1985, nothing appears before 1958 a search only found by using the phrase "spiritual paradise" not in the index.
in 2015 there was a clarification of the phrase "of course, we should not conclude that the terms “spiritual paradise” and “spiritual temple” are the same.
the spiritual temple is god’s arrangement for true worship.".
-
Sea Breeze
“Spiritual paradise” refers to the secure environment in which we worship Jehovah in unity. In this environment, we have an abundance of spiritual food that is free from religious lies
It wasn't much of a paradise for this elder (Arvid Einar Moody) from the Hyde Park Congregation on River St. in Hyde Park, MA. He believed the WT lie that he should not have a kidney transplant. As a result, he died in 1978. Too bad he couldn't make it two more years to 1980 when the WT lifted their ban on organ transplants.
He wasn't free from religious lies was he?

No Reporting of Time, Tithing is OK, Now WT Teaches a "Rapture" - What's Next?
by Sea Breeze inthose who will be taken to heaven will first need to be “changed, in a moment, in the blink of an eye, during the last trumpet.” therefore, while we do not use the term “rapture” here because of its wrong connotation, the remaining faithful anointed will be gathered together in an instant of time.
- the watchtower—study edition | july 2015. ok so they refuse to use the word "rapture".
kinda like they refuse to use the word church and clergy (except when it suits their purposes in court cases).

Yes, Robert King is a documented false prophet..... sort of a false prophet's false prophet. A heretics' heretic.
BTTT,
Maybe Mother's Day could be the next noose to be loosened? I mean who doesn't think mom's don't deserve some honor for all that they do?
Unfortunately, the WT will have to adjust their thinking:
“(Mother's Day) A festival derived from the custom of mother worship in ancient Greece. Formal mother worship, with ceremonies to Cybele, or Rhea, the Great Mother of the Gods, were performed on the Ides of March throughout Asia Minor.”..."So, then, is it not right to shun such observances today and thus obey the Bible’s command to “quit touching the unclean thing”? - g74 2/8 pp. 27-28So Mother's Day is equaly idolatry? Apparently so.....except of course if you refer to the WT organization as "mother" then it's Ok.
"The favorable record that has been established by the New World society, then, speaks well for the excellent instruction received from the great mother organization above". - w57 5/1 pp. 279-285
Their hypocrisy is breathtaking.
The article goes on to say:
"We are subject, therefore, to God through Christ, the chief one in God’s wifely organization, which is our mother. Hence, as parents are known by their children, to bring reproach on the visible New World society is to bring reproach on Jehovah God and Christ Jesus and on our mother."
Can have anyone competiting with our affections with mother church now can we?

What If The Tower Fell?

It’s started 🤦♀️
by MissDaSilva ini already have a friend who is trying to tell me that my mental health is causing my disillusionment with the jehovah’s witnesses.
funny that a mental health therapist has told me my mental health issues are caused by being a jehovah’s witness.
i’m still not going back.

It is only a mattter of time before a JW condesendingly asks you if you need some help. Ask them if they are willing to mow your lawn.
Works everytime.JW: Oh, MissDeSilva, I can see that you are struggling. Is there something I can help you with?
MissDeSilva: Actually there is. Could you help me mow my lawn?

There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. - Luke 13: 28 NKJV
The WT loves to call themselves the "Israel of God". Ha. Jesus specifically targets these kinds of boasters declaring:
I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. - Rev. 3: 9
Not only will the WT fall, but the Lord will make them fall down at the feet of those whose trust is in Christ alone. There, in that position will they be made to understand the utter rejection of the Lord and the love he has for many of those they called Babylonish whores.
The last will be first in the kingdom of God.
Will they be forced to view from afar the marriage supper of the Lamb? I personally believe so.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. - Ps. 23:5This is what victory looks like for XJW believers.
"Vengeance is mine saith the Lord" and it will hurt in ways that no physical pain can compare to.

Thank you, Sea Breeze. Also, it would be nice if that worked for me, but unfortunately, it just doesn't. 😕
It wasn't even on my radar for 8 years after I left. When I put myself in charge of my life after having put the WT in charge, it was a marked improivement. But, I came to the end of how far that horse would take me, and it wasn't nearly enough, not for me.
